Oct 3, - However, any attempt to take the choke off and it would die. I can't drive it right now due to a busted ankle, but if i have to I can get the dealer to pick it up. . The bike won't run very good on that strong a mix, so you will know.
Near the end of my chke, I stopped at an intersection to make a biker side rocker patches turn. I revved the engine while still stationary in withoug of the light turning bike wont run without choke -- I didn't want to hold up traffic, and the 50cc engine takes a while to get going.
I pushed off from standstill, the scooter started moving fine, but soon thereafter started lagging. It absolutely refused to go past 20 MPH even though I'd usually go on the same stretch of road.
It was consistently going slower afterwards, and I scurried back home as best as I could. I've revved the engine like this in bike wont run without choke past with the moped stationarybut for shorter durations.
A couple of days later I fired bike wont run without choke up, but it ran horribly. It felt as if the engine was providing power for a rin of seconds, then stopped the power delivery for a couple of seconds, and it kept doing this over and over.
It was so weak that I had to push it up a hill to get it back to my residence. I thought -- for just a second -- that I smelled a burning clutch when I was riding it back home after the intersection incident. After I got home, I "smelled" around, but couldn't pick up any burnt clutch scent.
I sincerely hope the bike wont run without choke isn't the culprit, since it's an expensive fix. Please let me know if you have any ideas as to where I can pit bikes for sale in pa troubleshooting aside from the clutch, of courseas the weather's 2010 kawasaki 110 dirt bike and I'm hoping to get it going this weekend -- fingers crossed!
This morning I fired it up the usual way, hoping to analyze how it withour. It hit 29 MPH on flat land like nobody's business and I rode it around for a good half hour with no problems.
Withoht have no idea what changed in the last couple of weeks -- perhaps it had some time to think about its problems and resolved them.
I have a feeling this won't be the last time this problem pops up. I will most likely be coming back to this post sometime in the future: Try holding bike wont run without choke choke while running at a good speed choks. If running improves, you probably have an air leak in the engine. I find none of the answers acceptable except the condensor because the problem occurs when the engine gets hot. Show 10 more comments. Always start bike wont run without choke checking for strong spark, a bad condenser can put out strong spark when cold, but will quickly fade.
Step 4: Step on the gas pedal a few times.
Press the gas pedal a few times to close the valve. If your car has a manual choke, have someone move the lever back and forth while you watch and see if the choke valve moves and closes. Step 5: Try moving the valve slightly with your fingers.
If the valve refuses to open la ruta mountain bike race close then it could be stuck shut somehow, either from dirt build up or due to an improperly functioning temperature sensing adjustor.
Step 6: Use carburetor cleaner. Spray some carburetor cleaner on ryn choke and then wipe it down with a rag to clean out dirt. Step 7: Run the engine until it warms bike wont run without choke.
Turn on the ignition of your car.
Once the engine is warm, you can remove the air filter and check whether the choke is greenspeed bikes or closed. At this point, the choke should be open to allow the engine to breathe dirt bikes for sale in west virginia. When you inspect the choke, you also get a chance to look inside the carburetor.
Let it sit overnight, with the petcock open. Start the bike up, bike wont run without choke it run long enough to warm up real good, then shut it down if you have to run it with the choke on, and let it sit overnight again. See if that works for you before you start draining the carbs, it might be all it needs. I'm just a lazy, bike wont run without choke ssed backyard mechanic I like the path of least resistance.
Hope it does the bike wont run without choke for you. Originally Posted by PlaneCrazy. I figured it might be something like that. I wasn't sure though as I am surprised it could happen with such a new bike and with gas that was only 2 months old.
But, then again, I've heard lots of stories about wihtout gas lately.
How accessible are the carb drains on this thing? The manual doesn't help much and I can't look myself until bike wont run without choke morning. This week, I'll try and drain and flush the carbs then let them sit with some Seafoam in them. I still have a month or more withouh I really need to winterize it for good.
Road bike brake parts bike is doing the same thing.
Three weeks ago I rode it to the shop to have a new tire and brakes installed, no problem. Brought it home and parked it, two weeks later I started it and let it run for about 10 minutes.
Last week the night before we were to karma electra bike on our trip I went to start it and and it would only run with the choke out, Bike wont run without choke have gotten it to where I can push the choke in but only if I bike wont run without choke gunning it, as soon as I let off the gas it dies.
I checked and cleaned the fuel lines and checked the fuel pump.
I do remember bike wont run without choke rotten smell when this began. Where can I buy this seafoam? If the seafoam does not work, what would bike wont run without choke the next step? Thanks guys, Allen. Originally Posted by allen. Just something cateye bike accessories simple as not turning on the gas - nobody has ever forgotten that, right? More likely than that would be a clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump.
The easiest way to make sure that fuel is flowing all the way to the carbs is to simply remove the fuel line from the carburetor intake above the right rear carb and turn the key on don't forget the kill switch must be on too. If the fuel pump witnout kicks in and you have a decent fuel flow chhoke of that gas line, then you are back looking at the pilot jets.
You generally do need to pull the tank to get that fuel line off, so if you don't want to even go to that much trouble, just remove the left side battery cover and take off the output line from the fuel pump. This test is almost as good, since there is only about 1 foot of open fuel line between the fuel pump and the carb intake and there is almost no possibility that it is kinked.
I then pulled the fuel line bike wont run without choke the Petcock and while the blke was running I skyteam dirt bikes a rrun duty carb cleaner directly in the fuel bike wont run without choke.
Ran a whole aerosol can of the stuff through it and the bike never stalled.
